A letter, instead of a pricing page.

Dear reader, we have tried, three times now, to write a pricing page. Each draft ended in the same place: a table of tiers we did not believe in, with prices we would have apologised for in the first call. So we are sending you this letter instead.

We do not sell a platform, a license, or a seat. We sell the willingness to sit with the problem — beside the operator whose Tuesday afternoon is the actual subject of the engagement — and the discipline to ship one small system at the end of it. That work has three honest shapes; they are described to the right. The price of any one of them depends entirely on what we find in the first phase.

What we will tell you, in writing and before any contract, is the following. First, we will tell you whether your problem is the kind of problem we are good at — and if it is not, who we would send you to. Second, we will tell you the smallest possible engagement that would honestly answer your question, even if it is smaller than what you came in asking for. Third, we will tell you, after the first week, the price of the rest — fixed, in your currency, with the scope written in verbs.

We do not bill hourly. We do not staff up. We do not run a sales pipeline. The practice has a deliberate ceiling on engagements per quarter, because the kind of attention this work requires does not survive a roster. If we say yes, you have our hands.

Some of what we do not do, while we are being honest. We do not run training programmes for organisations that want a certificate. We do not write AI strategies for boards that want a deck. We do not deploy somebody else’s platform under our name. If your brief is shaped like one of those, we are the wrong studio, and we will tell you so within forty-eight hours, with a recommendation.

If, after reading this, you have a question — not a brief, a question — write to us. The button below is a three-step form that ends in an email that will be read by a person at the practice. We answer in two working days, in the language you wrote in.

With care,
the practice.

§asked by every first call
Why no public price list?

Because we do not know the price of your engagement until we have sat at the desk for a week. Anything else is fiction in a table.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes — once we have read them. We will not sign perpetual non-competes or clauses that prevent us from publishing the shape of a problem with consent.

Where do you work?

On site, when sitting. Remote, when building. We refuse retainers that require us to commute when the work is being done by people who do not.

What if you say no?

You receive, within forty-eight hours, a written note explaining why — and a recommendation of the studio or person we would send the work to instead. No invoice, no follow-up.

§ 06The first question

A good question
is already half
of the work.

Our intake is not a contact form. It is a small ceremony. Choose the seat you sit in, and we will surface what others in that seat have asked. Borrow one. Sharpen it. Or write your own. We will write back inside two working days, in the language you began in.

Step 01 / 03Choose your industry
Step 02 / 03From the seat of an operator in your industry

The decision-makers in this seat usually carry the weight of three things at once: the operating reality, the financial pressure, and the team that is one resignation away from a knowledge gap.

Three questions others in your seat have asked us. Borrow one — or write your own below.

Step 03 / 03So we can write back

We do not subscribe you to anything. We do not pass this on. A human at NextAI+ will reply within two working days.

    Question received.

Thank you. We are reading it now.
A reply will arrive in your inbox by the end of the week — in the language you began in.

In the meantime, you may enjoy this week's column.
